Is there anything that makes your heart soar and makes you feel as though you have wings?
It is easy to get caught up in the day-to-day tasks of what we need to do. I know, I have been there too (daily).
What brings me joy is to create blogs, research new topics and speak with people for my videos. This is a wonderful way for me to express myself and I count myself very fortunate that I can do this for a living.
My biggest boost of happiness comes from when people enjoy what I create.
Each step we take has an effect on how much we can do in this lifetime.
I once read an article about a woman who wrote a book by simply waking an hour earlier everyday and using this time to write a few pages each day.
Within a year and a half, the woman had completed the first draft of her book and said that she felt happier on the days that she had taken the time to write.
It had uplifted her spirits throughout the whole day.
Steps You Can Take To Feel Inspired
Surround yourself with people who are doing amazing things!
It is a fast and effective way to provide yourself with new ideas and inspiration. Join a group, read the latest online and meet up with other people (in person!).
Being with people in the same space is the perfect setting for inspiration.
Try something new everyday.
It can be as simple as a new coffee spot or trying a different meal at your favourite restaurant. I recently started adding new veggies to my weekly salad.
These small, subtle shifts have an impact on everything we do. Continually learning and growing.
Have creative time or small breaks in your day.
Quite often our days are filled from the moment we wake, to when our head hits the pillow. Having some space and time in your day allows for increased creativity and inspiration. You can daydream and find new ways to look at something.
Moving makes a big difference.
I love exercise. Running, biking or even just vacuuming (I admit it, I love to vacuum!) can provide the opportunity for my mind to expand and feel inspired.
Meditation is another big part of my daily inspiration. While I am not inspired during my meditations (it is quiet time for me) it does give my mind a break and allows me to form new thoughts or perspectives.
Change of scenery.
I work from home and even riding my bicycle to the local coffee shop can provide me with a new setting. I can come up with solutions to challenges or create a new approach.
Create a plan.
Implementation is everything. Sit down and write (or draw, or sketch or whatever..) what your idea looks like or what you want to do. When could it happen? What steps do you need to take? Then be at home with the possibilities and potential.
Don’t limit yourself into thinking the outcome has to look one way or another, it could even be better than you could have ever imagined.
As a blogger, the biggest question I get asked is how can I do this for a living? The answer is pretty simple. I create a plan and think of new ways to share my ideas and other people’s stories. This takes a lot of courage.
Take the first step and put one foot in front of the other. Start your new project, idea or innovation (it can be anything!).
There are no guarantees, but you have something special to share with the world and part of this, is the inspiration that is inside of you!
Please feel to share your dreams and ideas with me on my social media (links below). I would love to hear from you!
